4 Best Project Management Courses That Can Help You Earning PDUs and More Skills After PMP Certification
Do you own a PMI credential? Are you also a certified PMP? Then you’ll find this article helpful! Except for CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management), all PMI certifications require its holders to adhere to the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Program.
EDUHUBSPOT’S goal is to guarantee that your knowledge and credentials are up to date. To keep your PMP certification, you often need to obtain Professional Development Units (PDUs) and for that some best project management courses are very important.
The PMP certification cycle is 3 years long, and after that time, you must have acquired 60 PDUs to renew your certification. A new 3-year cycle starts after one cycle is finished.
Keeping your PMP certification active with the CCR program
Your first CCR cycle starts as soon as you pass the test and lasts for three years after that. So, before the end of the three-year certification cycle, you must renew your PMP® certification.
The goal of this program is to aid project managers in developing their careers. Due to changes in the business environment, PMI decided to offer the optimum skill set, also known as the PMI Talent triangle. The three abilities that makeup the PMI Talent Triangle are:
Technical project management
Leadership
Competence in business and strategic management
-
Managing technical projects:
The knowledge and behaviors associated with project, program, and portfolio management make up this kind of skill set. Additionally, it includes technical information about the project activities. E.g. Take into account that you are engaged in “pipeline construction” work. As a project manager, you should be technically knowledgeable about the building materials used and knowledgeable about the various testing techniques.
-
Leadership:
Leadership qualities make up the second leg of the talent triangle. To fulfill corporate business goals, this type of skill set comprises leadership-specific knowledge and behaviors. The project managers’ long-term success depends on having these skills. Examples include persuasion, dialogue, problem-solving, handling conflicts, inspiring, coaching, etc.
-
Business and strategic management:
The third arm focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary to improve organizational performance and produce the best commercial results. Knowledge of products and industries, business awareness, marketing, customer and innovation strategy alignment, finance marketing, and many more are examples of skills in strategic and business management.
After completing the PMP exam prep course, there are several ways to earn PDUs.

You can receive a maximum of 25 PDUs from this category by returning PDUs. The ways to earn PDUs in this area are listed below.
